Max is a Theatre Director based in London and South East. He trained on the MA Directing Course at LAMDA. He also has a degree in Drama from Queen Mary University of London and completed training at National Youth Theatre. In addition to directing, Max has extensive experience working within the education sector.

As a Director, Max creates work which seeks to empower and celebrate difference. He is a Queer artist seeking to stage powerful stories that are empowering for audiences. He always seeks to stage work with understanding, joy and passion. Expect plenty of humour, darkness, mischief, shock and love in one of Max’s productions.

Interests in Theatre include: New Writing, Musicals, Devised Theatre, Queer Theatre and Feminist Theatre. He enjoys creating experimental work that plays with a variety of different forms and structures. Music and Movement are essential in Max’s productions.

Max believes it is the director’s job to establish a room of care that seeks to nurture and guide other creatives in creating a shared world on stage. “Behind every Idea is a Deeper Idea” is the motto in Max’s rehearsal room and he always encourages the work to become imaginative and detailed.
